The somewhat convoluted introduction tells us this story is intended to be like a TV series, though you could ignore this quite happily. The book is divided into four sorta-independent episodes and the tone is slightly cheesy. Other than that, it doesn’t much resemble a TV series.
The basic premise is that the main character, Jim Corrigan, is immortal and can see ghosts. Naturally he’s a private detective. Through the various episodes, he tackles evil ghosts and other unusual phenomena.
The writing is generally good, with few editing errors. Overall: don’t expect anything deep and meaningful, just an enjoyable light read.
